Our Editorial Standards

Useful context. Clear sources. Honest limitations.

Research before recommendations

Our articles explain shopping decisions through intended use, texture, maintenance, portability and cost. Health-related statements should be supported by authoritative public sources such as the American Academy of Dermatology, FDA and NIH. Links in articles let readers check the context themselves.

What a guide means

A buying guide is a research-based editorial resource. It is not evidence that we have purchased, worn or tested every product mentioned. We identify hands-on experience only when it exists and can be documented. We do not invent scores, customer counts, endorsements, credentials or clinical findings.

Commercial transparency

Ordinary manufacturer links are labeled as non-affiliate at launch. Any future affiliate relationship must be disclosed before the relevant commercial links. Sponsored work must be explicitly labeled. A brand does not get to remove an inconvenient limitation in exchange for a commission.

Sources and updates

The published date identifies when a guide first appeared on this site. Updated dates change when the substance changes. Sources are checked during preparation; prices, availability, ingredients and merchant terms can change afterward. Verify the current label and seller information before purchasing.

Health and suitability

Our material is general education, not individualized medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Reactions and individual needs vary. Stop using a product that irritates you and seek qualified care for persistent symptoms. Recommendations for shopping are editorial judgments, not guarantees.

Corrections

Email [email protected] with the article URL, the specific statement and a supporting source. We review substantiated corrections and update material where appropriate. We do not fabricate a named expert or testing team.
